On Trump's racism against
progressive Congresswomen of color: It's not racism if it's based on national
origin, according to white people, even Dems/liberals, so I'm really tired of
white Democrats/libs thinking we finally nailed Trump on racism. This is
because we hate Trump, not because we hate racism or understand the concept of
racism based on national origin.
In October 2014, six
months after the Ebola outbreak began, I created a petition against the
(Democratic) New Jersey education system for banning two African students from
a school in mostly Democrat-voting Maple Shade*. The school nurse, backed by
administration, refused to let two Rwandans begin school - never-mind the fact
that Rwanda's distance to the Ebola outbreak in Liberia is similar to that of
Seattle, Washington and Philadelphia, PA. It's in Southeast Africa, not
Northwest! I had five supporters out of my three thousand Facebook friends.
FIVE.
Not only that, but the
argument that this was "racism" and a "civil rights
violation" was DISMISSED by the NJ attorney general's office, the Division
on Civil Rights. We had Obama as president then, and Maple Shade a Democratic
mayor, and was/is represented by Democrats (such as Cory Booker). LET ME BE
CLEAR: I appreciate that white people are calling this evil racism against
these Congresswomen what it is. But that's easy, nothing new- we knew Trump was
doing this when he said Mexicans crossing the border were rapists and
criminals, said a judge couldn't do his job impartially because he was of Mexican heritage, and promised to ban all Muslims. His plausible deniability was that
a country is not a race; when he said "shithole countries," every
white person registered that as true, because that's what we were taught
directly or indirectly as kids, even if our superego repressed our id after
that.
Let's admit it, under
Trump, we're only now developing a consciousness of discrimination based on
national origin as a form of racism.
Where the fuck where we when immigrants needed us before this? In a self-induced slumber of conscience-easement because we helped elect a Black president. We were complacent and self-congratulatory; we really believed in linear progress, that progress was inevitably moving forward, and we didn't have to really do anything ourselves because our people were holding the reigns of the white house...racism, at least for us East Coast liberals, was an issue of Black people and white people. Outside of our borders, in the Third World, we had no idea what was going on; to us, it really was just countries that needed to be more like us so they could stop failing.

What I gather from this is
that we're supposed to care about what the mainstream media tells us to care
about, what Anderson Cooper rages against, and not find the racism against
immigrants going on in our own white liberal communities: the West Africans in
Harlem who get used by liberal seminaries for low-wages and don't have prayer
breaks, and deliver us our food on bicycles without any benefits of full
employment, such as healthcare, because it's a gig job, like a lot of their
security jobs for our schools and hospitals and banks (until they get
seniority). I interviewed these security guards and was told that their white
bosses think they're stupid and so can get away with more things. The security
guard beard-ban impacts these mostly Muslim workers, who are too afraid to
complain.
Not the Central Americans
who sleep outside of our churches and in our parks who have no place to use the
bathroom because we won't set up public facilities, which most modern cities
have, and then get fined (which leads to arrests for unpaid fines) for going to
the bathroom in public. These are people I've spoken to who come from Guerrero
and other indigenous Southern/Eastern Mexican states ravaged by the Clintons
under NAFTA, which forced them to flee here, where the Deporter-in-Chief Obama
allowed ICE and Homeland Security to grow into unaccountable evil institutions
under his watch.
I'm just saying,
liberal/Leftist whites - let's look at our own suburbs and rural communities
you grew up in, look in the cities you live in, find where racism based on
national origin is the norm.
*The only time Maple Shade
voted Republican was because South Jersey Democratic crime boss/political boss
Steve Norcross hated Christie's opponent, progressive Dem Barbara Buono, so
much that he and Christie promised favors for Dems who supported Christie
(hence the Bridgegate scandal).
